The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accounting Analyst to join our growing and collaborative team. This role provides the opportunity to work within a high-growth, global company with operations in the U.S., U.K., and Spain. As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions requiring accuracy, analytical thinking, and adherence to deadlines. You will support multiple departments across the business, contribute to process improvement, and provide crucial financial information to help guide executive decision-making.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Support period-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries (e.g., foreign currency transactions, translations, eliminations) and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and complete consolidated financial statements for domestic and international entities.
- Clearly communicate financial results, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
- Act as a business partner to department leaders across the organization.
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts and the annual consolidated budget.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage billing processes for sales and rental agreements.
- Track applicable sales tax rates and prepare sales/use tax accruals. Support external tax preparers with the necessary documentation.
- Partner with the sales team to evaluate the cost-benefit and customer needs analysis.
- Support accounts receivable processes, including collections, dispute resolution, and intercompany billing. Monitor advance payments and shipment releases.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including standard costs, material usage, cycle counts, and obsolete inventory accounting.
- Set up and maintain item master data, including raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and bill of materials.
- Assist in the accounts payable process to ensure accurate coding and timely approvals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year university.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in agriculture or manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all formats (phone, email, in-person).
- Proficient in applying basic algebra concepts to real-world financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
