About this Job:
  • Plan
    and organize the physical warehouse.
  • Plan
    daily shipping activities along with the Warehouse Manager and Material
    Coordinator.
  • Operate
    various types of material handling equipment.
  • Operate
    forklift and perform manual labor as required.
  • Operate
    and maintain Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Work
    overtime and 2nd/3rd shifts as required to support plant operations and
    customer requirements.
  • Load
    and unload freight via various forms of transport (Truckload, LTL, Air, and
    Ocean).
  • Process
    receipt and shipment paperwork accurately and completely.
  • Perform
    periodic cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Uphold
    rules and standards set by the Omaha Foreign Trade Zone.
  • Move
    materials within the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain
    and improve safe operations, environmental stewardship, and housekeeping
    standards.
  • Train
    and supervise plant and contract warehouse staff.
  • Perform
    routine and non-routine operations safely and efficiently.
  • Anticipate
    potential problems, resolve inventory discrepancies, and solve problems.
  • Effectively use safety equipment such as
    respirators and protective clothing as needed.
  • Complete mandatory site training and
    required logistics training such as DOT, IATA, C-TPAT.
  • Work
    within site policies & procedures.
  • Develop
    loading formats and procedures for dry van and sea containers
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:


  • Work within standards of quality and
    accuracy.
  • Monitor instruments, equipment and act on
    information.
  • Adapt to changes (new equipment, new
    procedures, and new products).
  • Flexible,
    able to work on various equipment.
  • Work
    directly with truck drivers, customers, and regulators.
  • Communicate
    effectively with plant production staff and management.
  • Must
    possess basic computer skills such as e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge
    of warehousing and inventory control methods required.
  • Knowledge
    of SAP or equivalent manufacturing systems desired.


  • Skills:

  • Minimum of 5-years
    of prior warehousing, inventory management, and forklift driving
    experience are required.
  • Experience working
    with Warehouse Management Systems WMS.
  • Prior
    manufacturing or packaging experience is desired.
  • Supervisory
    experience is required.
  • Attention
    to detail, continuous learning, applied learning.
  • Understanding of loading best practices.
  • Must
    possess good time management skills and be able to work independently.
  • Safety
    awareness and an attitude that promotes safe operations at all times.
  • The
    position requires good verbal and written communication skills.
  • All
    applicants must possess the skills and temperament required to deal with the
    public drivers, customers, regulatory agencies, etc..
  • Additional Knowledge,
    Skills, Traits & Abilities:


  • All applicants
    must be eligible to work in the US.
  • All applicants
    must have a valid drivers license.
  • Minimal travel
    requirements.
  • Must be able to
    lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to
    wear the required PPE.
  • Must be able to
    work multiple shifts when required.
  • Must be capable of
    operating industrial equipment such as fork trucks, yard tractors, and
    sweepers.
