Role purpose Responsible for managing and communicating yield data to the site stake holders through the data systems in a timely manner. Provide improved estimates of yield predictions in concert with the Growing, Operations and Planning teams based on stock performance history. Ensure that stored inventory is sufficient to meet and or exceed customer expectations and to ensure operational productivity and budgetary considerations. Define and implement the stock management plan, including surplus cuttings and stock discards.Accountabilities Responsible for management of short and midterm production planning in concert with farm plan for all crops in line with the agreed plan with the supply planner. Managing starter materials according to the farm plan. Coordinate with the supply planner on all planning aspects and timely communication to mitigate any deviation from plan. Work with the supply planner to agree on production volumes and supply plan scenarios based on farm space and starter material availability to support the demand plan. Ensure to communicate and coordinate with production team, supply planner and customer service. Ensure the accuracy of availability following latest capacity updates. Manage all processes associated with staying on production plan with the operations team, communicate if there is deviation Monitor and work closely with the operation team on optimal usage of supply in early and late season, including timely buildups and discard of stock, as well as risks management. Develop KPIs for the all crops and monitor cost of production. Participate in process improvement projects within planning processes. Manage more than two employees Support supply planner to be able to work as a backup. managing the unconfirmed line items on daily bases Updating capacities daily and for late order requests in SAP. Core to All Roles Assist on the management (creation and modification) of all W.O.W.s associated with their area of responsibility. Ensuring that all procedures and processes are accurate and up to date. Manage all quality assurance programs with the operations team. In cooperation with HSES, ensure that all personnel have the appropriate training, PPE, and certifications for their roles. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all HSE standards, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures and guidelines. Assist in presenting of all safety training classes. Supervise employees and other third party personnel as required. Perform other duties as required to meet plant or site needs. Actively support an image that reflects the highest regard for cleanliness and the organization. Supporting all HSES standards and initiatives. Critical knowledge o Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Horticulture. o Knowledge of crop production, planning and sales cycles,o Be able to create and update S&OP for all production planning process.o Knowledge in multiple SAP functions is a plus.o Knowledge or familiarity with ornamental/Cutting production is preferable.o Horticulture and Finance knowledge is a pluso Advanced computer literate, work skills with Microsoft Suite of Office programs Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.o Must be Fluent in English, Spanish fluency is desirableCritical experience Willing to work with a diverse workforce. Additional information All applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Approximately 25% working outdoors under various weather conditions and 75% typical office environment.Physical demands of the essential functions Ability to walk in sandy soil. Work in outdoor environment in various weather situations. Ability to carry 25 lbs. for up to 15 minutes. May be required to lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Capable of working long hours during time-critical periods of the production season.Working conditions while performing essential functions Field work is subject to field environment conditions. Outside environment will be in all types of weather situations, mostly warm and humid.
