Job Overview
The Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in expanding SwineTech’s customer base and driving revenue growth through direct engagement with pork producers and industry partners. This role is responsible for identifying leads, nurturing relationships, closing deals, and representing SwineTech at key events.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advancing innovation in animal agriculture. The Sales Representative works closely with Director of Sales to ensure seamless execution of growth strategies.
Essential Functions
• Sales Strategy & Execution
- Execute targeted sales strategies aligned with company goals.
- Manage a personal sales pipeline to achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Deliver engaging product presentations and demos tailored to producer needs.
• Customer & Partner Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Represent SwineTech at industry trade shows, meetings, and on-farm visits to build credibility and awareness.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and follow through on commitments.
• Sales Operations
- Maintain detailed activity and opportunity records in the CRM.
- Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and product improvements.
- Assist in negotiations and proposal development under the direction of the Director of Sales.
• Team Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing to align messaging and lead generation efforts.
- Coordinate with customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction.
- Participate in regular team meetings to share insights, challenges, and opportunities.
• Miscellaneous
- Perform other sales-related tasks and duties as assigned by leadership.
Physical and Working Environment
• Working Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (typical office hours) with flexibility based on travel and customer schedules.
• Tools and Equipment:
Regular use of a computer, tablet, email, phone, and general office and field tools
• Travel Requirements:
Up to 70% travel expected
- 80% of travel within 6 hours’ driving distance
- 20% of travel involves destinations 6–12 hours away
