Job Title: Sales Representative

Description of Duties:
A Sales Representative is responsible for assisting Susterre’s CEO with sales activities in a defined territory. This role involves fostering relationships with existing customers, seeking new business opportunities, and promoting Susterre’s products and services to farmers, growers, and distribution partners. Responsibilities include in-market sales demonstrations, trade show representation and distribution development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working on a farm.
- Ability to install and operate agricultural equipment, especially in planting operations.
- Knowledge of product pricing and profitability
- Experience representing organizations to outside stakeholders, preferably in a sales environment.

Essential Duties:
- Territory Management: Conduct sales activities and build customer relationships within the assigned territory.
- Customer Relations: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Business Development: Establish and nurture relationships with new farmers and growers in the territory to expand Susterre’s market presence.
- Product Recommendations: Advise farmers on the appropriate Susterre products based on crop types and farming practices.
- Distribution Development: Identify and initially screen (according to agreed-upon criteria) possible distribution partners in the assigned territory.
- Logistics Coordination: Collaborate to ensure timely and efficient product delivery to customers.
- Market Insight Communication: Gather and communicate market information to management, offering insights and recommendations based on active market knowledge.
- CRM Utilization: Efficiently use the cloud-based CRM system to manage customer information, communications, and follow-ups.
- Order Management: Accurately place product orders through the CRM system.
- Product Demonstration: Organize demonstrations of Susterre’s technology in locations both in and out of assigned territory. Target is at least one demonstration day per week, each with 10-30 attendees. Assist organizing the movement of Susterre’s technology between demonstration locations and assist with the setup of the machinery.
- Event Participation: Organize, attend, and engage in grower/customer meetings, events, and trade shows to promote Susterre products.
- Industry Liaison: Build and maintain connections with relevant industry contacts.
- Field Trials Support: Assist in promoting Susterre products through local field trials, providing recommendations based on trial results.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the company vehicle in a professional condition.
- Compliance: Adhere to Susterre policies and all applicable regulations.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to share information and strategies, avoiding information silos and promoting a cohesive team environment.
Working Conditions:
Susterre maintains a hybrid working arrangement, with work taking place in both home and office locations. Primary location will be based in the Sales Representative’s home office, with considerable travel required.
