Job Description:

Stine Seed Company, a privately owned national seed company, has an opening for a Technical Agronomist.  This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally with one of the industry’s most respected seed companies.  The territory for this position cover Louisiana, Arkansas, Western Tennessee, Western Kentucky, and Mississippi. The Technical Agronomist will serve as the coordinator for training, plot management, agronomic information and sales support. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and execute Product Development Plot (PDP) protocols across the territory 
  • Agronomic data collection on a regular basis throughout the growing season 
  • Coordinate with cooperators for planting and harvesting PDP protocols 
  • Work with sales team to achieve sales objectives through in field training and provide technical support 
  • Engage with marketing group to provide insights and observations to contribute to social media efforts 
  • Participate in all facets of the plot seed process; organization, bagging and distribution of plot seed sets 
  • Attend weekly Teams call 
  • Provide support to the sales team through regular communication with sales leaders and sales representatives  
  • Attend dealer field day events, and grower meetings; providing meaningful and timely information 
  • Implement any additional plots that assist in evaluating and promoting Stine products

Who You are 

  • Bachelors in Agronomy or related discipline 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently as well as team members to meet established goals
