Alberta Technical Sales Manager Steinbach Hatchery – Western Canada

Steinbach Hatchery is a leading distributor of day-old layer chicks, proudly supplying premium genetics from Hendrix Genetics across Western Canada. As we continue to grow our presence, we are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Alberta Technical Sales Manager to join our team.

Position Overview

This is a remote, field-based role focused on developing and maintaining strong relationships with poultry producers across Alberta. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on the road, working directly with customers to support their operations and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

•  Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
•  Conduct regular on-farm visits to provide technical support and guidance
•  Provide hands-on technical support to customers, including flock management advice, troubleshooting performance issues, and recommending best practices
•  Manage and grow current accounts to ensure repeat business
•  Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory
•  Represent Steinbach Hatchery with professionalism and industry expertise
•  Collaborate with a remote sales team to achieve company goals
• Stay informed on industry trends, flock performance, and customer needs

Qualifications & Experience

•  Experience in the poultry industry and/or agricultural sales preferred
•  Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
•  Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
•  Comfortable spending significant time traveling within Alberta
•  Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment
•  Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
