LEGHORN POULTRY SPECIALIST, Sales/Service

We currently require a Sales Representative who is stationed in Central Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible to call on current and future clients North of the Trans-Canada Highway to the Grand Prairie area. This position is specific to the marketing of day-old leghorn chicks and affiliated products and services. Strong customer support and communication are an expected attribute.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Primary task is sales and marketing of world class leghorn genetics to egg farmers in Central and Northern Alberta
• Ability to provide follow up support by diagnosing and resolving production issues of the egg layer.
• Able to work with Industry Partners to problem solve client production dilemmas.
• Be part of a marketing team but be able to work independently
• Have exceptional time management skills.
• Communication with Management and Hatchery
• Sales area encompasses Central and Northern Alberta and contains a mix of farms including Hutterite Colonies
• Travel is required and some lifting may be necessary.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Agriculture
• Previous sales experience would be considered an asset.
• Experience/knowledge of Egg Industry or Associated industry would be considered an asset.
• Willingness to continue education and knowledge of egg-layer chickens.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
• Valid drivers license
