Job Opening: Farm Accountant (Full-Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Farm Accountant to join our agricultural operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who understands the unique financial needs of the farming and agribusiness sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting for all farm-related income and expenses
• Maintain accurate financial records, including payroll, crop/livestock sales, equipment purchases, and operating costs
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor budgets and forecasts, ensuring cost-efficiency in operations
• Assist in audits, compliance, and government reporting (grants, subsidies, etc.)
• Work closely with farm management to advise on financial decisions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 2 years of accounting experience (farm or agricultural sector preferred)
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, FarmBooks, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of agricultural financial practices and tax regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
