The MarCom Assistant Internship offers a local college/university student a real-world experience in a vibrant B2B Agricultural products corporation. The role assists both the Director of Marketing and the Communications Specialist in supporting the Sipcam Agro USA and Sipcam Agro Canada Agricultural and Turf & Ornamental Sales Team with design and marketing materials for tradeshows, field trials and industry meetings. Support materials and efforts include announcements, press releases, web pages, sell/fact sheets, program sales sheets, product guides, banners, signage, videos, etc.  Support is a result of creative writing, social media preparation and design concepts using all elements of Adobe Creative Suite.

The role also offers the experience of market research to identify and build relationships with industry media and editorial staff for earned media opportunities. The selected individual is encouraged to assist with writing assignments and creative suggestions for all projects. This paid internship helps build an experiential foundation of the realities of a Marketing, Communications and Design position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications and Design:

• Support new and existing product web page and sell sheet build and maintenance with writing and design, using field trial results, including graphs, charts and comparison visuals
• Assist with B-Roll collection and video editing for new videos or editing down existing videos for media buys and social media publication
• Assist with writing assignments to support press, programs, sell sheets, social media and tradeshow materials
• Support image collection with photography stills and image correction

Market Research:

• Identify top Ag and T&O print/online publications, with suggested key focus areas important to Sipcam
• Research and build an Editorial Master Contact List for Agriculture and Turf & Ornamental journalists and editorial staff

 Other Duties:

• Frequent and consistent communication and coordination with other internal departments such as Sales, Value Solutions, Regulatory and Operations is required
• Assist with small, quick design and writing projects as needed by the Director of Marketing and/or Communications Specialist
• Assist with any onsite video shoots and company events

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

• 2+ year college education
• 2+ years’ experience with paid work
• Intermediate level knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe PDF
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premier Pro (After Effects/Media Encoder)
• Web (Internet/Intranet) experience using HTML/CMS, WordPress, Wix, Go Daddy, etc.
• Some writing experience preferred
