Warehouse Lead

Seneca Foods in Cumberland, WI is currently seeking a Warehouse Lead to join our team.

The Warehouse Lead will supervise all warehouse activities, including production and shipping.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the organization of work crews.
Direct and supervise the accurate and timely completion of all departmentalrecords relating to the plant & warehouse processes.
Ensure that all employees are properly trained in company policies and safety.
Responsible for housekeeping in the general work area.
Observe all company work, safety and GMP policies and procedures.
Unload, load, transfer, and britestack, or finished goods and supplies from trucks, etc.
Interpret shipping order or receiving report to determine items to be (un)loaded.
Ability to stack and unstack pallets of product in rows up to 5 pallets high.
Check products for quality, and proper shipping information.
Complete daily inspection of vehicle before operating, corrects any low fluid levels.
Operate lift truck(s) in compliance with all operating procedures.
Track, input, change, and update data of inventory.
Comply with proper weight distribution on rail cars and trucks.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to make quick decisions, organized, and attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a team environment and lead and train personnel.
1 to 3 years in experience in an industrial setting.
Requires a minimum of a High School Education or equivalent.
Ability to pass the Seneca Forklift certification test.
