Warehouse Lead

Seneca Foods in Cumberland, WI is currently seeking a Warehouse Lead to join our team.

The Warehouse Lead will supervise all warehouse activities, including production and shipping.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the organization of work crews.
  • Direct and supervise the accurate and timely completion of all departmentalrecords relating to the plant & warehouse processes.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly trained in company policies and safety.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in the general work area.
  • Observe all company work, safety and GMP policies and procedures.
  • Unload, load, transfer, and britestack, or finished goods and supplies from trucks, etc.
  • Interpret shipping order or receiving report to determine items to be (un)loaded.
  • Ability to stack and unstack pallets of product in rows up to 5 pallets high.
  • Check products for quality, and proper shipping information.
  • Complete daily inspection of vehicle before operating, corrects any low fluid levels.
  • Operate lift truck(s) in compliance with all operating procedures.
  • Track, input, change, and update data of inventory.
  • Comply with proper weight distribution on rail cars and trucks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make quick decisions, organized, and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead and train personnel.
  • 1 to 3 years in experience in an industrial setting.
  • Requires a minimum of a High School Education or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass the Seneca Forklift certification test.
