Seneca Foods Corporation is currently looking for a qualified Quality Control Supevisor to work at one of our food processing/manufacturing facilities located in Cambria-West, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
Perform audits to monitor compliance with all GMP standards, Food Safety Standards, Food Safety issues, Case and Label procedure, etc.Supervise quality technicians and production employees on the assigned shiftManage and evaluate product that does not meet specificationsReview and organize plant processing records for conformance with regulations and Company policyManage and update company programs such as the Thermal Process Manual, Food Safety Plan, Food Defense Plan, calibration program, etc.Review and respond to consumer and customer complaintsProvide employee training for Fill Control, Sanitation, Can Seaming, Grading and Statistical Process ControlPerform audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facilityAdminister the company safety programPerform investigations of causes for any spoilage issuesParticipate in Food Safety audits as requiredOversee/observe production during processing seasonDesired Skills, Qualifications & Experience:Requires knowledge of basic Food Chemistry and Food ProcessingBachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field preferredOne to two years of supervisory experience would be beneficialCertified or able to become certified in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing and Container ClosureAbility to work weekends and extended hours when requiredProficient computer, math and analytical skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skillsSeneca Foods Corporation is committed to providing equal opportunity for all, through a positive and continuing affirmative action program.
