Human Resources (HR) Administrator

Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is currently seeking a HR Administrator to join our team. Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more! Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

The HR Administrator supports the HR Manager. This is not a remote position. Must be available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during non-pack periods and flexible to adjust schedule to include some weekends based on operational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Leaves (FMLA, NYS STD, NYS PFL) administration in accordance with Regulations, HR best practices and Corporate Policies
  • Staffing/Recruitment - posting open positions, tracking applicants, schedule interviews, job offers, schedule pre-employment screening, etc.
  • Onboarding, New Hire Orientation, Trainings
  • LMS Administrator - maintain training log
  • Exit activities
  • Seneca Geneva Well-Being Program Administrator
  • Performance Reviews (tracking, reminder notices to supervisors)
  • Development of value-added HR Projects
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, and other regulartory programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.).
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of payroll and Human Resources.
  • Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • The ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.

EDUCATION:


  • Associate's Degree or similar workexperience preferred.
  • Consideration will be given to a combination of education, training/certification as substitute for work experience.

Wage range based on skills, abilities and experience from $21/hr-34.50/hr
