Position Summary
WORKS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPARATION OF TOTES USED IN VARIOUS PLANT PROCESSES.
Essential Functions
- Clean totes and sanitize permaliners. [SWI-0002]
- Install poly liners and cardboard (as needed) in totes. [SWI-0002]
- Fill totes with brine. [SWI-0002]
- Seal totes as needed. [SWI-0002]
- Repair totes as needed. [SWI-0003]
- Adhere to the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). [REF: GMP POLICY 30-01-00 ]
- Prepare the work area at the start and end of shift.
- Available to work rotating shifts (swing, graveyard), to include weekends and occasional overtime.
- Communicate with brining department to ensure the steady flow of brine.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Relieve other departments as required.
- Competencies and Certifications Required
- Knowledge of all tote brining supplies and when/why they are used. [SWI-0002]
- Knowledge of all styles of totes and their appropriate fill levels. [SWI-0002]
- Basic understanding of the brine making process, pumping, and brine line setup. [SWI-0002]
- Good communication skills.

- Must pass respiratory fitness test. [TBD-001]
- May be cross-trained to provide coverage in other departments.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Frequent standing and walking.
- Frequent climbing, bending, stooping and twisting.
- Frequent pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs.
- Occasional lifting or pulling up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle stress, and/or multi-task.
