Job Overview:

In the position of Brite-to-Brite Utility at Seneca Foods, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and ecient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for running de-palletizer, dud detection equipment and palletizer, as well as safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials and products. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be vital in maintaining our high standards. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, able to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Additionally, they should be self-motivated and trustworthy, seeking long-term employment with opportunities for growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Brite-to-Brite:
  • Inspect brite products for quality and accuracy.
  • Record and report any discrepancies or quality issues.

Utility Duties:
  • Handles reclaim of damaged products.
  • Support warehouse operations by unloading rail cars.
  • Assist with packing, palletizing, and organizing materials.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Equipment Operation:
  • Operate or learn to operate the Can De-palletizer, Dud Detection, Auto Stacker, and P244 inventory system.
  • Perform basic maintenance, equipment changeovers between various can sizes, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.

Team Support & Flexibility:
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet operational goals.
  • Take initiative and assist in other warehouse areas as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS

Forklift Operation:
  • Ability to train and certify as a forklift operator.
  • Current forklift license and certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable with extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Familiarity with, or possess the ability to learn,the layout of warehouses at Payette.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, Seneca's brite coding systems and inventory scanners.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality control.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  • Takes initiative and proactively seeks to improve processes and learn new skills.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed based on production demandsand customer requirements.
