Seneca Foods in Glencoe MN is currently seeking a full-time Ag Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more! Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!

Responsibilities:
  • Data entry and purchasing of Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) budget items, operating supplies, and capital items as required by the Ag department
  • Acts as the main point of contact for Supervisors, Mechanics, and Leads in planning Ag repairs and ordering parts/ equipment to establish the timing/ schedule so that supplies are on hand as needed and just in time
  • Maintains an accurate, minimal, and organized inventory
  • Verifies receiving records and inbound shipments to ensure accurate quantities and part numbers
  • Issues and tracks tools and supplies to employees
  • Maintains relationships and communication with vendors and other Seneca locations
  • Completes research to maintain competitive quotes and purchase prices
  • Pick up and deliver parts or miscellaneous as needed
  • Supervise seasonal stockroom labor during pack and assist in hiring of seasonal stockroom help
  • Cross trains with Maintenance, Plant Purchaser, and other support roles as needed
  • Ensure that GMPs (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced
  • Responsible for maintaining Ag Shop E-Binder items as necessary
  • Responsible for clerical items necessary as assigned by the Supervisor or Dept Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Two-year college degree and/ or purchasing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Established computer software and office equipment skills required (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, SAP, MaintiMizer, fax machine)
  • Possession of a valid Drivers License and Commercial Drivers License required
  • Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills

Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.
