Position Summary

Operate filter press; operate APV; operate flow meters; operate a forklift; perform duties required of a Processing Employee; provide back up to Glace Tank Room Operators; keep the work area clean and be able to perform moderate to heavy labor. If any problems develop, notify foreman or supervisor.

Operate, disassemble and clean filter pressMeasure and add chemicalsWear required safety equipmentOperate APV including start-up, shut-down, and cleaningPerform checks as needed to monitor syrup brix/PHOperate flow metersConduct checks, make adjustments, fill out appropriate paperworkPerform duties required of a Processing EmployeeProvide back-up to Glace Tank Room OperatorsOperate pumpsNotify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problemsPlant clean-upOther tasks as assigned
Competencies and Certifications Required

Minimum 12th Grade equivalent testing in Reading/MathInternal GMP/HACCP/SQF TrainingExcellent communication skillsGood computer skillsComplete work instruction/qualification sheet in allotted time frameTrained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)Must pass respiratory fitness testOSHA Forklift license
