About the Role

We are currently looking for an Animal Care Specialist to join our Housing Team. Reporting to the Animal Care Supervisor, the successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties. 

What You Will Do:

• Perform semen collection procedures
• Feed and care for bulls, ensuring proper nutrition and welfare
• Operate and maintain farm equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with seasonal crop work
• Conduct mechanical and manual barn cleaning
• Handle hay, silage, and manure as part of daily operations

What You Need to Succeed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong agricultural background with experience in livestock handling and care
• Ability to operate farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitude
• Physically capable of handling large animals
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindsetk

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate 

This is an in-person role requiring 5 days per week in our Kemptville location offering a minimum starting salary of $21.00 per hour, with potential compensation enhancements based on applicable experience and qualifications.
