As a full-time Artificial Insemination (A.I) Technician, you will experience the rewarding career of helping dairy and beef customers excel in herd reproduction and productivity. Select Sires Canada is proud of our team of the best-trained, most knowledgeable staff in the industry.

There are positions in each of the Perth County and Wellington County regions. Genetics and reproduction are key performance indicators on farms; so, your expertise in this area is valuable to our producers. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of agricultural professionals, including other A.I. Technicians, Genetic Consultants, Reproductive Specialists, Area Sales Managers, and/or Team Leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OPPORTUNITIES

• Large herd tail Chalking, heat detection and AI services
• Extensive exposure to reproductive physiology and synchronization
• Data entry
• Training with automated detection programs and health monitoring systems

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Strong agricultural background or the knowledge or willingness to learn more about both dairy and beef industries and the services Select Sires Canada provide for producers
• A passion for genetics, producers, and the family environment developed within Select Sires Canada
• Highly motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding people skills, with service-orientated attitude, the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team structure
• Valid driver’s license
• Preference given to candidates with A.I. experience
• Tablet skills and knowledge of on-farm software is preferred, but not mandatory.
