Warehouse Coordinator – Agriculture Operations

Location: Tarboro, NC
Employment Type: Full-time

 

Position Overview:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient product flow, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of agricultural products and farm operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily receiving, storage, and shipping of agricultural products, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular cycle counts, and reconcile variances.
  • Schedule and monitor inbound/outbound shipments; communicate with vendors, carriers, and farm managers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, proper handling of fertilizers, feed, chemicals, seed, and other ag materials.
  • Oversee warehouse layout, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for labeling, tracking, and reporting inventory.
  • Collaborate with accounting and production teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Train and supervise seasonal or permanent warehouse staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in warehouse coordination, inventory management, or logistics—preferably in agriculture or farm supply.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred).
  • Understanding of safe handling and storage requirements for agricultural materials.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, logistics, or related field preferred.
