The Global Soy Food Product Group Manager (PGM) is responsible for analyzing and understanding global supply chain factors that drive long term production and demand of multiple soy varieties for food production. PGM is to develop producer and end users marketing strategies in accordance with attributes sought by food processors and production outcomes sought by producers. Responsible for the trade unit strategy, PGM is also accountable for trade unit manager, sales, origination, and execution teams focusing on optimizing facility asset and trade activity. Leading expansion of business through processing, product innovation and asset growth sought. Additionally, this position plays a critical role in connecting the business unit strategy, division strategy and operationalizing company initiatives.

Strategy & Growth:
- Strategic leadership of a commodity or product for Product Groups, Trade Units and Service Units
- Plan and implement new strategies to improve the efficiency and profitability of the product group
- Lead strategy development and execution including but not limited to identification and execution of mergers and acquisitions, supply agreements, joint ventures and other growth opportunities, additional assets/infrastructure
- Knowledgeable and aware of upcoming market trends, anticipate the impact and continuously monitoring competitive landscape
Trading & Execution:
- P&L and cash management within product group including weekly/monthly reporting. Accountable for having an accurate P&L for the product group
- Accountable to forecasting & budgeting with accuracy and timeliness for the product group. Ability to explain and articulate variances
- Risk management within assigned risk limits, in alignment with General Managers and Chief Risk Officer for trade positions within their product group
- Develop, support, and execute a stakeholder plan to support, service, and connect with strategic and targeted customers at appropriate levels
- Provide execution leadership to functional team (Logistics, Documentation Team, Merchandiser Assistants). Understand team's capacity and trade/execute within that
- Responsible for maintaining and leveraging global supply and demand information for the products under their leadership.
- Create effective systems of communication to ensure timely and accurate sharing of internal and external trade and other information

- Lead and support team by coaching, giving feedback and meeting with direct reports on reoccurring basis as well as quarterly check-ins on performance and goal achievement

RequirementsMinimum:
- College degree in business related field or equivalent and relevant experience
- Minimum 7 years of Agri-business and/or merchandising related experience
- Demonstrated understanding of grain markets, hedging, commodity flows and logistics
- Proven critical thinking skills and ability to drive strategy forward
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and relationship building capability
- Demonstrated aptitude in accounting and financial practices and procedures
- Highly skilled in problem solving techniques
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry’s trading standards and procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strong business acumen and ability to drive forward strategy
- Demonstrated agility to navigate unprecedented change
- Strong people management skills with proven ability to develop high performing teams
- Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel, as needed
Preferred:
- Active involvement in industry agriculture association groups
- Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural macroeconomics
