SAN Agrow is the plant protection business unit of SAN Group. SAN Agrow contributes to sustainable agriculture by providing biotechnological crop protection, nutrients, and biostimulants. With successful products based on microorganisms or plant extracts, we contribute to more sustainable agriculture. Through in-house R+D, we gain new insights in the areas of microbial biocontrol agents, microbial fermentations, plant extracts, bio stimulants, as well as plant nutrition. In this way we create new products for expanding our portfolio for conventional and organic farming.

 

We're hiring a Marketing Manager to lead strategy and execution at SAN Agrow.

 

This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape our annual marketing strategy, drive impactful campaigns, and lead cross-functional initiatives that support our business goals. You'll blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, bringing ideas to life and delivering measurable results.

These are the tasks we trust in you:

  • Develop the Annual Marketing Plan for U.S. SAN Agrow that includes strategies and tactical campaigns for individual brands and the overarching portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain brand positioning, messaging and complete/ manage any market research necessary for their development; work closely with product managers, R&D and other supporting functions to develop aligned and optimal messaging and positioning.
  • Marketing program management of annual channel and/or end-user marketing programs that support the Annual Marketing Plan; own all elements of program development from customer feedback and design to program structuring through measurement.
  • Own market intelligence efforts needed to refine ongoing strategies and tactics and/ or capture in-season opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to further tactical plans.
  • Ensure alignment of all marketing activities and produced content is in accordance with global marketing strategy, corporate policies and visual identity.
  • Plan and manage external events such as conferences, field days, webinars and internal events such as sales meetings and VIP customers visits in alignment with the marketing plan.
  • Develop relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and manage marketing activities and their effectiveness.
  • Track marketing activities through CRM; support the internal adoption of CRM and related digital transformation.
  • Support the marketing budget planning for the respective region, considering activities and required resources to implement the marketing strategy efficiently.
  • Manage all line reports, including marketing assistants and interns, according to the policies of SAN Group HR.


To grow in this position, it requires the following:

  • 10+ years of progressing experience in Strategic Marketing, Product, Portfolio and/or Campaign Management, or closely related disciplines
  • Experience developing and managing Channel and End User Marketing Programs
  • Experience implementing and supporting teams through execution of new approaches and initiatives
  • Agricultural marketing experience is a must
  • MBA is a plus
  • Highly articulate, technologically savvy, excellent written communication and expertise across standard business tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Seeing change as opportunity and not as a threat

What else to know?

  • You are rooted in Southern California
  • We appreciate your expertise for 40 hours/week
  • Must be able to regularly travel throughout the US (~20% travel) to tradeshows, traveling with sales teams and customer meetings.
  • This position is available immediately however, we are happy to consider your notice period or your desired start date.
  • Based on your professional experience and your qualification, we offer you a competitive compensation package ranging from $130,000 - $140,000 (USD) gross annual base salary, plus attractive benefits.
