Job Description:
Since 1870 we've been making malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, we continue that work in 4 countries, across 7 maltings with a specific emphasis on supplying distilleries and craft breweries. In 2023, Richardson International Limited successfully acquired Crisp Malt, welcoming all our employees into its wider group of companies across Canada, the US, and Europe.

We currently have an opportunity for a Transport Coordinator at our Crisp Malt, Portgordon location. 

 

Key Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure all practices are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To assist the Site Manager in ensuring that all food safety and quality policies and procedures are always followed.
  • To assist the Site Manager in controlling the day-to-day costs of running the transport department through efficiency improvements and staying within budget.
  • To assist the Site Manager in controlling the day-to-day related systems to ensure efficient running of the department.
  • Be able to cover all aspects of logistics for Scottish sites, from Barley to Malt and including co-products
  • Be able to cover the export/import protocols.
  • Complete annual refresher of policies and procedures, risk assessments, SOPs and SSOWs.
  • Provide Site Manager with timings of deliveries should the need arise
  • Conduct supplier review meetings with key haulage contractors
  • Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders.
  • Controlling of day-to-day related systems to ensure smooth management of department.
