Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Sanitation Supervisor at our South Sioux City, NE facility. This role is in charge of the Cleaning & Sanitation Preventive Control Program including HACCP based risk assessments and corresponding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

The Sanitation Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the Cleaning and Sanitation activities undertaken in and around the facility, including collaborating with the facility Management team to ensure all personnel consistently comply with applicable Cleaning and Sanitation and Hygiene requirements, tasks and verification systems, to ensure the facility, its environment, equipment, tools, mobile equipment, etc. are maintained in a sanitary condition at all times, and personnel maintain an acceptable level of personal hygiene at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Stay current with food safety standards and advise on risks based on operations and product use.
• Maintain FSMS, sanitation SOPs, and documentation to ensure effectiveness and accuracy.
• Evaluate facility and business changes to implement appropriate sanitation controls.
• Develop cleaning schedules, validations, audits, and drive continuous hygiene improvements.
• Deliver sanitation training, perform job observations, and strengthen workforce hygiene practices.
• Supervise pest management, waste handling, and environmental monitoring.
• Track sanitation incidents, analyze root causes, and report KPIs for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in food processing, with strong knowledge of HACCP-based Preventive Controls and wastewater treatment.
• Proven skills in team leadership, personnel management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business improvements.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, hold or obtain a pesticide applicator’s license.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and communication abilities; proficient in computers and mathematical analysis.
