We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility. As a Maintenance Worker, you are responsible for general maintenance, including the facility site, buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
Troubleshoot, fabricate, repair and install mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures.
Works within maintenance and interdepartmental teams when required.
Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards
Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis.
Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill
Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill

Qualifications:

Proven mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance
Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation.
Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing and pipe fitting skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
Journeyman Red Seal Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic or Ag Mechanic certification considered an asset?
Previous food or feed production facility experience is considered an asset.
