About the Position:

  • Service Manager is required to effectively lead and develop the service team to provide excellent customer service. 
  • The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and technical abilities, understanding of financial objectives and is motivated to complete administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Service Department staff to develop and sustain a high level of employee performance, budget achievements, and morale that is highly aligned with our mission and core values. 
  • Align and implement company policies, standard operating procedures, bulletins, and campaigns.
  • Schedule service work according to priority and maintain a consistent orderly workflow.
  • Advise customers of necessary repair services and preventative maintenance.
  • Create and ensure strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensure that customer issues are resolved promptly according to company guidelines.
  • Analyze market demand to ensure present and future workflow availability.
  • Maintain dealer standards including but not limited to vehicles, facilities, tooling, and training.
  • Promptly evaluate and recondition trade-in equipment.
  • Ensure warranty claims are processed according to policy.
  • Complete PIP and campaign according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain in good condition all service tools and service vehicles.
  • Responsible for the maintaining safe facility, equipment, and operations.
  • Ensure service vehicles and drivers are properly maintained, road worthy, safe and in compliance with all regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure repairs are completed accurately, to dealer standards and inspects all completed work as appropriate.
  • Accountable for time record accuracy within the department including overtime, on call scheduling, and vacation approval.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma /GED required, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience preferred.
  • Five years of service/mechanical experience working with farm, heavy equipment, or diesel engines.
  • Successful experience in leading a team is required.
  • Proven track record in customer service and communications required.
  • Ability to use desktop or laptop computer, including Microsoft Office Suites is required.
