Full Job Description:

Farm located 30 minutes east of SE Calgary and 5 minutes west of Carseland. We are seeking a hardworking, dedicated individual to assist in various farming activities. Our farming operation consists of seeding, spraying, and harvesting to efficiently produce various crop types. Winter months will consist of, but are not limited to, maintaining equipment, loading & hauling grain, and other duties as needed. Summer months will consist of, but are not limited to, seeding, spraying, harvesting, loading & hauling grain, maintaining equipment, and more. The right candidate will have a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. We are willing to train the right candidate if experience is limited.

Multiple positions are available and we are looking to hire as soon as possible. We also offer housing within 5 minutes of the main farm yard for a shorter commute!

Responsibilities, Duties, & Requirements:

• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, combines, semi-trucks and other heavy equipment
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various farming activities
• Shop time and shop maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment
• Ability to preform heavy lifting tasks (up to 60 lbs) throughout seeding and harvest
• Good communication skills
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to personal safety and safety of coworkers
• Mechanical and/or welding experience considered an asset
• Valid Class 5 License, Class 1 License considered an asset
• Previous experience working on a farm considered an asset
