Quality Seeds is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-driven District Sales Manager (DSM) with a strong passion for agriculture and the producers who drive it. The DSM plays a critical role in supporting and expanding our Dealer network within an assigned territory, helping dealers and producers succeed through strategic guidance, product knowledge, and exceptional service.
With a practical understanding of forages from seed to feed, our DSMs act as trusted advisors—providing insights, solving problems, and delivering value to both Dealers and their farm customers. Backed by years of agricultural experience and a proven track record working with producers, our DSMs embody the principle that “People Buy from People.”
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, the ability to present and position seed products effectively, and a deep understanding of the agricultural landscape. Experience in managing customer portfolios, supporting dealer development, and executing sales growth strategies will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage a Dealer network within the assigned region.
- Train and support Dealers to drive growth, increase sales, and build stronger farm relationships.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, in-field support, and team sessions with Dealers.
- Analyze and utilize sales data to drive strategic decisions and territory management.
- Identify and recruit new Dealers to expand market coverage in underserved areas.
- Collaborate with Dealers and directly with customers to plan seeding strategies and resolve challenges.
- Support Dealers in prospecting and growing business, particularly within the large producer segment.
- Manage and grow a personal portfolio of farm clients within your territory.
- Submit accurate and timely customer orders to the Order Desk.
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with Dealers and producers.
- Address customer concerns professionally and propose creative, value-driven solutions.
- Ensure accounts remain in good standing; assist with collections when necessary.
- Coordinate with Head Office and Production Teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
- Attend sales meetings and contribute to the development of regional and national strategies.
- Host and support producer meetings with Dealers to showcase Quality Seeds’ offerings.
- Represent Quality Seeds at industry events such as trade shows, cattle shows, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate on the creation of marketing and promotional materials for Dealer and event use.
- Assist in the planning and execution of trade show exhibits—both locally and at major provincial events.
- Monitor marketplace trends and identify opportunities to increase Dealer and producer share-of-wallet.
- Foster long-term relationships that drive loyalty, growth, and alignment with the Quality Seeds brand.

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a sale, customer service, or leadership role in agriculture.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of sales and marketing principles, including dealer/distributor management.
- Knowledge of customer service best practices and satisfaction evaluation techniques.
- Deep familiarity with agricultural producers and their operational needs.
- Willing and able to work flexible hours during peak seasonal periods.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
