We are currently looking for a Service Advisor with Branch Admin duties to join us in our Wilmington branch:
PURPOSE
Performs the duties of the Service Writer and some duties of a Branch Admin to support the dealership. Percentage of time allocated to each set of functions will vary and will be based on the size of the location.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Writer Duties
- Fields internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department
- Opens work orders and maintains control until they are completed and invoiced
- Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
- Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders when necessary
- Prepares warranty and/or product improvement for submission by the Central Warranty Administrator
- Assists customers with mower or equipment loading/unloading when necessary.
- Close and process RO s for payment when needed
- Assist technicians and provides part service including parts lookup, pulling parts from parts stock and processing MD orders (where applicable)
- Assists on the parts counter when necessary (Saturday rotation included)
- Assists with loading/unloading trucks when necessary (where applicable)
Branch Admin Duties
- Receives visitors and telephone calls ensuring these individuals are directed to the proper parties.
- Prepares daily bank deposits and balances cash receipts.
- Posts purchase orders ensuring information is accurate.
- Reviews vendor invoices ensuring information is accurate; documents general ledger coding for all vendor invoices in required format and submits supporting paperwork to the Accounting Department.
- Distributes mail, maintains dealership files and performs other administrative duties as needed.
- Provides administrative support to the local Sales, Parts, and Service Departments.
Additional Duties
- Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in-line with the objectives of the dealership.
- Acts as an ambassador for the dealership and protects the positive dealership image, while promoting customer loyalty and goodwill
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices
- Solid Clerical expertise with strong attention to detail
- Must be able to operate turf equipment
- Strong people and communication skills
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications, such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Knowledge of office procedures.
- General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to operate forklift

- Weight Requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility: Standing and sitting for long durations.
- Visual: Working with PC, manuals, and close detailed work.
- Driving: Daily short and long distances.

- Dexterity Ability to grasp and manipulate tools and parts.
- Temperature: Ability to work in temperatures both inside and outside of the branch
