Sales Agronomist

Spring Creek Ag is seeking a Sales Agronomist to work the Valley City, ND area.  Spring Creek Ag is a full service Pioneer agency that sells Pioneer brand seed and all lines of crop protection products directly to area farmers.  The Sales Agronomist is a direct sales position focusing on the promotion of Pioneer seed and crop protection products to an assigned pool of customers and prospects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Marketing and selling Pioneer seed and crop protection products.
• Delivering products to customers
• Providing agronomic recommendations on seed and crop protection
• Practice business philosophy to give helpful management suggestions to our customers to assist them in making the greatest possible profit from our products
• Planting and harvesting agronomic product knowledge plots to help better understand the local performance of Pioneer products

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates should have an interest in agriculture and the desire to help educate local growers the benefits of Pioneer brand products.   
• Strong relationship building skills, sales skills, and agronomic knowledge 
• Knowledge of precision ag and cropping decision making software a plus
• Experience working with seed, fertilizer, and herbicides is preferred
• Willing to embrace new technology to enhance business efficiency
• Able to quickly adapt to changing agricultural environment
• Customer service focused

Compensation

Very competitive base with good commission opportunity.
