POSITION SUMMARY: Sanitation Workers are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Disassemble production equipment to allow for thorough cleaning.
Rinse down area with high-pressure hoses.
Foam equipment and work area and then scrub them as needed.
Rinse equipment and work area to ensure all chemicals and soils are removed.
Inspect cleaned equipment and work area to ensure cleanliness.
Reassemble equipment in work area.
Report all mechanical problems to Supervisor, Lead, or Maintenance.
Complete mandatory safety, food safety/GMP, and chemical training as outlined for the job assignment.
Other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of sanitation procedures and sanitation chemicals preferred.
Food or production/manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work from ladder and personal/scissor lift.
Ability to work in a hot, high humidity environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to use hands for 8-11 hours per day
Ability to work with industrial strength chemicals
Excellent attendance required.
Ability to work overtime as assigned.
Ability to multitask and work quickly with repetitive motion work.
Ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense to deal with problems in standardized situations
Must be a team player.
Must have good communication skills.
Good hand and eye coordination required.
Must maintain good personal hygiene
