ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Answer all incoming phone calls and direct accordingly.
Dispatch live haul trucks in efficient, cost effective manner.
Follow proper procedure in weighing live haul trucks to ensure compliance with all rules and laws.
Manage proper paperwork. Keep live haul tickets in order.
Maintain accurate zero tare sheets.
Manage calls from drivers in the field to insure trucks arrive at the farms on time.
Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors at shift change of current status and issues.
Communicate any issues that arise with drivers, growers, and live haul manager.
Turn in all scale tickets to accounting office at the end of work week.
Scheduling live haul trucks on shift and anticipating when drivers are scheduled to return ensuring drivers are on time.
Willing to work 9:30 am until end of shift hours
Observe all company policies and procedures and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have clean driving record
Must have NC CDL Class A license
EXPERIENCE:
Previous live haul experience is a plus.
Previous dispatching experience preferred.
STRONG MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract five digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
