Schedule: 12:00PM - 9:00PM - With some open availability for coverage on days when needed

Bilingual required: English/Spanish

General Summary
We're looking for a detail-oriented, people-focused Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for employees navigating benefit programs, ensuring they receive clear, accurate, and timely information. You'll support the administration of multiple benefit plans, assist with annual enrollment, and help deliver a positive employee experience and ensuring that employees feel informed of their benefits.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, providing clear and empathetic guidance
  • Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in vendor systems
  • Conduct benefits orientations and support open enrollment activities
  • Audit benefits data for accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and ensure high-quality service
  • Assist with leave of absence administration (FMLA, state leaves, ADA accommodations, etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements
  • Support HR projects and process improvements related to benefits and employee experience

Qualifications
  • Must be bilingual
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role
  • Strong understanding of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and relevant regulations (HIPAA, ACA, FMLA)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, friendly way
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Customer-service mindset and a collaborative approach

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with leave management systems
