Your Role

As a Terminal Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of the terminal, while monitoring safe operating procedures and providing leadership to other Facility Assistants.

The role is titled internally as Facility Assistant II or III.

Day to Day

• Contributing to the movement of grain by operating equipment to load/unload shipments.
• Demonstrating confidence in leading and mentoring Facility Assistant’s in operations and safety practices.
• Making informed decisions and addressing issues to ensure smooth terminal operations.
• Communicating effectively with various departments, management, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Collecting and testing commodity samples.
• Regular terminal maintenance and housekeeping.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
• Performing exceptional customer service duties.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, specifically afternoon and overnight shifts.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including winter environments, and in environments subject to dust and allergens.
• Experience with terminal operations, with a strong understanding of processes and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor others, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Trained in health & safety procedures and a champion for a safe work environment.
• Experience with agricultural or heavy equipment is a plus.
• Proficient in basic computer operations, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.).
• Valid G driver’s license.
