About Our Leal Terminal Leal Distribution Terminal opened in 1987, has a land size of 80 acres and employs three full-time employees. This Nutrien location stores and distributes anhydrous ammonia which is moved by both the rail and truck companies. Our team size facilitates a family environment where teamwork is essential.

This position is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient operation of the ammonia terminal area. The role includes handling shipments for both incoming and outgoing product fertilizer, recording data, and making operational corrections as required.
What to Expect – Operator Key Tasks
Maintain safe and efficient operation of the ammonia terminal areaHandle shipments for both incoming and outgoing product fertilizer, recording data, and make operational corrections as requiredOperate and monitor equipmentOperate computerized and non-computerized control systemsPerform terminal site maintenanceTroubleshoot and analyze all types of rotating equipmentRecord and enter data readingsMeasure ammonia product and manage daily inventoryLoad product into transports through metered pump and piping systemsUnload Ammonia train carsProvide excellent customer service to all internal and external customersAdhere to local, state and federal governmental regulations and standardsTrain ammonia drivers
What You Bring – Your Skills
Minimal experience required – On the job training providedHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver’s licenseSafety mindsetPositive attitudeTeam oriented and reliable Interest or experience in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, aerial-lifts, and tractorsStrong written and verbal communications skillsPossess intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to work with minimal supervision and is self-motivatedWillingness to learn with continuous improvement mindsetAvailable for overtime and to be “on-call” to support Terminal during non-typical working hours as requiredMust be willing to travel occasionally for training courses and assist at other terminalsMust live within a 35-mile radius from the siteInstrumentation and electrical experience are assetsProcess Safety Management (PSM) experience is an asset
