Safe execution of work while also assuring all work meets plant quality standards
Observe employee work performance in the work environment and take corrective actions to ensure that work activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures
Ensure that all unsafe conditions are reported and corrected
Demonstrate and encourage by example a cooperative attitude toward safety among plant personnel
Develop and administer departmental policies and procedures that increase operational uniformity, effectiveness and efficiency
Train, develop, and motivate departmental personnel toward greater individual productivity to ensure accomplishment of department and company goals
Create and maintain an atmosphere which demands excellent business ethics and integrity
Provide leadership and ensures compliance with all safety, regulatory, environmental and company programs, including Federal, State and Local regulations
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair, and requisitions for replacement
Oversee the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work orders
Ensure that work orders are analyzed by basic job steps and those proper determinations are made regarding relative sequence and identifying parts, equipment availability, materials, special tooling, and skills and estimation of personnel requirements for each step
Responsible for turnaround and outage planning & scheduling including scope definition and cost estimating
Coordinate all outside maintenance service requests with procurement including RFQ’s
Maintain equipment history and documentation (owner of BOM’s)
Track of stores inventory and disposal of obsolete inventory
Establish preventative maintenance job plans for all critical equipment
Investigate new materials, methods, and equipment with the aim of reducing maintenance costs, improving reliability, productivity and enhancing safety
Track maintenance planning Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and metrics and implement plans for improvement
Track all monthly maintenance expenditures and prepare variance reports
Conduct post job reviews to compare actual work performed to plan and identify and analyze variances
Work with Reliability Engineers to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations
Focus Reliability Engineering on Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management. Develop projects and procedures based on downtime and cost improvements
Track oversee, and ensure work orders are properly classified by type and completion dates are realistic
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals
What you will bring:
Engineering B.S. Degree in Mining, Chemical or Mechanical Disciplines is required. Subjects of importance include: Materials Handling, Engineering, Geology, Surveying, Fluid Mechanics, Mineral Processing, Business, Communications, Accounting, and Environmental Sciences.
Ten years of practical experience in Warehouse Management/Material Handling/Industrial Maintenance or a closely related industry is also required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and planning skills, facilitation skills, computer skills and the ability to achieve results through others.
Flexible, analytical and detailed oriented.
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Willingness to work extended hours, particularly during scheduled outages
Willingness to participate on corporate teams and assist other locations (some travel required)
Willingness to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and willingness to participate in weekend and holiday coverage
