Reporting to the Director of Maintenance & Reliability, N&P, the Senior Specialist, Maintenance & Reliability is part of the Engineering, Technology and Capital group within the Nitrogen and Phosphate business unit.  Based in Alberta, this position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise focused on maintenance and reliability improvement strategies, methodologies and tools.  This position will further provide technical-support of Nutrien's Reliability and Maintenance systems, tools, and processes, as well as additional process improvement leadership, training and mentoring for Nutrien's manufacturing sites across North America in alignment with the N&P ETC Maintenance and Reliability Group and executive Management Vision.
What you will do:
  • Analyze statistical data and make recommendations for action plans of ETC M&R team projects, work with both the Director of M&R, the ETC M&R Group and sites resources
  • Own and steward ETC M&R Group Key Performance Indicators and metrics, recommend annual objectives and targets
  • Ensure compliance with targets by advising the Director and leaders of short-fall metrics
  • Report statistics to Director, ETC M&R Group and individual sites
  • Support development, maintenance and use of the metrics, reporting/systems software tools for end-user application (Operations, Risk management, Capacity Utilization, OPIS, PowerBI, OBIEE, etc.)
  • Provide training for business stakeholders and end user of metrics and reporting/systems tools; provide training for all users on updates to tools
  • Provide Work Management subject matter expertise and continuous improvement coaching and mentoring to the site resources
  • Provide asset care subject matter expertise and continuous improvement coaching and mentoring to the site resources
  • Provide BAd ACtor and Vulnerabilities identification and mitigation subject matter expertise; this may include Root Cause Analysis facilitation, mentoring or other support
  • Provide mentoring and coaching support to M&R Reliability Specialist and site maintenance and reliability resources
What you will bring:
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Operations/Maintenance Trade certifications with significant experience (15+ years)10-15 year's of experience in manufacturing or production facility maintenance2+ years experience in business systems development and maintenanceKnowledge and experience of Maintenance and Reliability best practices, relevant codes and standardsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel to Nutrien's manufacturing facilities in North America and TrinidadAbility to work independently or as a part of a teamAbility to learn, teach and share information with peers, management and end usersDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of EAM, SAP and/or other CMMSKnowledge of data analysis and reportingExperience in leadership and change management
