Reports to the Manager, Payroll & Time Administration.
What you will do:
    Provide exceptional customer service to employees from a diverse organization by ensuring that all data entry tasks are entered with the utmost accuracy, ensuring effective quality checks and auditing of work is done regularlyAchieve mastery of HR and Payroll by collaborating with all other groups within the HR Shared Service Center, to upskill your ongoing personal knowledge and experience of all areasSupport the ongoing development and continuous improvement initiatives within the HR Shared Service Center and Payroll by participating in activities such as the review and update of process documentation and team ways of workingAccurate and timely administration of payroll and time reporting data changes received by telephone or ServiceNow Case for USEnsure that your work is managed effectively and efficiently through company systems and that you are adaptable and supportive of any new or changing technologiesSafeguard employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive informationTo ensure that health, safety, security and risk issues are considered and factored into all areas of activityPerform all payroll data entry into the company Pay and Time Reporting Systems including but not limited to Bonus & Allowances, Miscellaneous Payments, Off-Cycles, Severance Payments, W4, Union dues, Regular Pay and Vacation adjustments, setting up or changing Direct Deposit, and Providing copies of Pay Statements when requestedTime Entry Changes, Balancing, Adjustment or Termination of Buckets and resetting/unlocking accessesWork closely with Time Admins within the business to ensure accuracy of dataSupport the processing of Canada’s Record of Employment (ROE’s) ensuring targets are met in accordance with expected company complianceCarry out regular audits of data entry to ensure that any errors or incorrect information is captured prior to payroll processing taking placeManage and maintain employee files, electronic and physical hard copy formatsParticipate in Payroll/HR SSC projects or support other HR colleagues as required
 What you will bring:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience within a Payroll or HR Shared Service Center environment
  • 2-3 years administrative/data entry experienceExcellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and stylesStrong customer service orientationAbility to troubleshoot and respond to client inquiries by telephone or email
  • Ability to be flexible in terms of working schedule
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly ExcelSAP HR Master Data ExperienceSharePoint knowledgeExperience with Canadian or US HR/Payroll data, business rules and legislative requirementsExperience utilizing Case Resolution and Time Reporting SystemsDemonstrated self-motivation, analytical, problem solving skills and initiative to achieve desired outcomesAbility to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously with strong results and goal orientation focused around quality
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with multiple functions and in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, team environmentStrong willingness to continuously improve the performance of both one’s self and the HRSSC through continuous learning and self-development
