About the role.

Responsible for relieving or filling in the position of Fryer, Cutter or Peeler Operator as instructed by your supervisor or as needed. Responsible for ensuring the proper preparation and operation of the Fryers, Cutters and Peeling equipment. Monitors and adjusts fryers, peelers, cutting and related equipment to achieve optimum equipment performance and accuracy, which results in meeting or exceeding product quality standards while maintaining sanitary conditions in the processing plant and keeping bacteria at acceptable levels.

  

What you’ll be doing.

  • Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.

  • Operates and understands the functions of fryers, cutter deck, peelers and related equipment.

  • Performs machine preventative maintenance checks, diagnostic checks, and routine adjustments on line equipment.

  • Coordinates with other operators in varying departments.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists co-workers and supervisors in solving work problems.

  • Collects samples, monitors times, temperatures and machine efficiencies to ensure product quality meets customer requirements.

  • Monitors and maintains sufficient water level in pump tanks.

  • Evaluates and measures by-product recovery system.

  • Monitors and troubleshoots oil recovery system.

  • Monitors and maintains batter sweeco filter.

  • Interprets date from computer screens, graphics and conversion charts to prepare data reports

  • Prepares and maintains process control and raw product report data.

  • Inputs all information into Infinity and completes all records and reports.

  • Relieves other employees under the discretion of the supervisor.

  • Cleans and sanitizes processing equipment daily and during scheduled shutdown as needed.

  • Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.

  • Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.

  • Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.

  • Must be self-sufficient, with ability to learn new environments with limited learning curve.

  • Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

  • Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.

  • Participates in continuous improvement process.

  • Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.

  

What you’ll need to be successful.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation Package:  - Starting at $24.85 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts

  

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
