Job Description

About the opportunity:

We are looking for an effective and proven leader to drive this business-critical division.

Reporting to the General Manager Fertiliser, your responsibilities will include:

• Identify, develop and successfully implement strategies that will improve the specialty fertiliser business performance
• Negotiate profitable and improved trading arrangements with key suppliers
• Develop market intelligence and insights for internal stakeholders
• Manage opportunities in the proprietary segment for specialty fertiliser
• Manage risk in the global supply chain for proprietary brand and align to strategy
• Ensure data files are correctly maintained, including pricing, rebates and margins
• Identify, develop and successfully implement strategies that will work towards continuous improvement
• Management risk associated with domestic & international commodity markets

What you will bring:

• Strong commercial acumen and risk management mindset
• Experience and understanding of the specialty fertiliser market from sourcing through to field application
• Proven inventory management
• Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• Well-developed strategic and analytical skills
• Strong influencing skills
• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients at all touch points
• Tertiary qualifications in Ag Business or similar are desirable, but not mandatory
