Job Summary:
Leader will implement processes and initiatives to enhance cross enterprise integration and create a continuous improvement culture. This position will lead business process improvement through the implementation of synergy initiatives supporting Supply chain cross functional groups. The position provides leadership on the full range of business, leadership, technical, and process improvement opportunities across a Supply Chain. Implementation will include direct leadership, guiding others to implement, and applying Operational Excellence tools to solve the problem and train those working on the initiative. Accountable for increasing the number of associates capable of training and leading initiatives using formal problem-solving tools for the group they support. This includes focus on creating a work environment that engages employees at all levels in the business to help drive out unnecessary work, improve and simplify processes, and continually reduce costs.
 
Responsible for leading cross functional teams to validate and implement strategic Supply Chain initiatives to scope, on budget and on-time that deliver the intended business results. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Understanding the initiative then finalizing the overall business case with Finance and other functions as necessary. Lead the business case review with Strategy PMO (comprised of leadership) to make go/no go decision. Develop the overall program plan for all workstreams utilizing program management skills and operational effectiveness methodologies. Steward the change management plan through all implementation phases. Management of clear communication plan with status updates, risk assessments and contingency plans for all workstreams in each initiative. Lead initiatives that have been identified in overall support of Network optimization.
 
Key Tasks:
  • Develop analytical tools and reports (e.g., staffing models, rate models, procurement models, inventory models, stewardship models) to manage supply chain performance
  • Responsible for delivering Supply Chain Operational Excellence vision through the successful completion of initiatives delivering synergies
  • Identify supply chain metrics (e.g., forecast variance, total spending, cost savings) using data collection and survey reporting methods to monitor performance
  • Drive employee engagement and organizational health
  • Develop programs which improve quality and supply chain efficiencies
  • Translate Company business strategy into operational goals with visible metrics
  • Provide technical advice for internal customers, business partners and Company associates to teach, provide expertise or validate equipment/parts or processes
  • Coaching, motivating, developing talent
  • Improve productivity and capability of the workforce through current technology enablement, training, process improvement and identifying best practices (e.g., 5S & Lean methodologies)
  • Enhance intellectual capital through training, rewarding, and retaining the best of the best
Skills:
  • Program Management - PMP Certification Preferred
  • Continuous improvement and operational excellence; LEAN MFG, process improvement, process standardization. Specialized technical Skills (supply chain metrics, lean/CI, Six Sigma, process improvement. Knowledge Innovation and Methodologies)
  • Financial Analysis
  • Consulting experience is favorable
Qualifications:
  • Must have formal Lean, Six Sigma or OE certification** Master Black Belt certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply chain, Logistics or Business Administration preferred
  • 8-10 years minimum required: 10-15 year preferred
  • Strong background in all aspects of supply chain management is required
  • SAP implementation of ERP platform along with supporting enterprise enablers.
  • At least five years of project management, planning or related work
  • Experience working effectively with teams outside formal lines of authority to deliver results
  • Change management experience
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Business case development and value tracking experience
