Position Summary:
 
The Seed Facilities and Operations Lead position is responsible for the overall management of all seed production assets and operations. The position will provide leadership for increasing efficiencies and building a safety culture. This position will report to the Dyna-Gro Brand Manager and will cover a territory across the United States. The incumbent will ideally be based in the Midwest US.
 
Key Tasks:
    A primary function of this position will be to work with Seed Facility and Operations Managers to:
      Increase efficiency of plant operations to provide the highest quality product possible to Nutrien Ag Solutions divisions, branches and sellers.Build a safety conscience environment at all sites resulting in a zero reportable record.
    The position is responsible for supporting facilities’ efforts in engaging with divisions across all of Nutrien Ag Solutions market areas in supplying products in an efficient and market friendly timing which supports sales growth.Assure the highest quality of products and packaging being sent to divisions.Responsible for building a yearly and multi-year business plan that will optimize assets and investments in exceeding annual goals and reviewing with the Dyna-Gro Brand Manager.Working with Facility Managers to recognize capital needs and building both short term and long term plans for expansion needed to provide continuing growth of all products.Communicating both short and long term needs and plans to the Dyna-Gro Brand Manager.Identify and share key opportunities and issues with the Dyna-Gro Brand Manager.Anticipate and recognize changes and react to new opportunities in the marketplace.Maintain appropriate records and communicate current activities and results to the Dyna-Gro Brand Manager.Safety – Drive and maintain a strong culture of safety in all aspects of the business and facilities with all employees.Other duties as assigned.Good attendance required.
Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in an Agricultural based field strongly desired.Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in seed facility management, distribution and people management.A combination of education and skills will be considered.Must have the ability to work with and maintain a good working relationship with a diverse employee and customer base.Effectively demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, assertiveness and results orientation.Must have the ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple people, priorities and projects simultaneously.Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills.Must have excellent leadership skillsAbility to travel as needed. Required travel estimated between 20-25%Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen are required.
