Nuseed has an exciting opportunity for a Montana/North Dakota based temporary Stewardship Field Associate responsible for supporting the Nuseed Omega 3 Canola program; managing the implementation of monitoring, reporting, and verification processes of stewardship systems that ensure conformance to best practices in quality and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Global Commercial Stewardship Director, the position will partner with the larger Omega 3 Canola Team, including Field Agents, Sales staff, and Logistics.  

 

This contract role is May-September.

 

The Opportunity:

  • Enable Nuseed Omega 3 growers to be successful by ensuring program stewardship requirements are monitored effectively
  • Collect  grower data and enter the into the Nuseed data platform
  • Assist with stewardship audits of network dealers and Omega 3 growers
  • Coordinate timing of data collection with growers around key milestones in the crop cycle
  • Validate that collected data is accurate and meaningful
  • Communicate relevant information to the Stewardship and agronomy teams
  • Ensure the success of audits through direct support for growers with detailed reports of growing practices
  • Assist the Commercial team with season field days
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to high priority and time-sensitive activities
  • Assist the R&D team with field activities as time allows
  • Provide stewardship support to both growers and agents during harvest of the Omega 3 canola crop. This primarily includes labelling harvest bins and taking grain samples

 

This role requires the ability to work independently in an outdoor environment. You must be comfortable communicating to multiple teams and have attention to detail. Are you comfortable with data entry in a mobile environment and are you able to use mapping software to locate fields? This role also requires a valid drivers license.

 

Salary Range

  • USD $20.00-25.00 per hour
