The North Peace Applied Research Association (NPARA) is a non-profit agricultural organization located in Manning, in the Peace Region of Northern Alberta. As a producer driven organization, NPARA conducts applied agricultural research and extension programs in the County of Northern Lights and MD of the Peace.
NPARA is offering an extraordinary opportunity to learn about soil health in 2026. We are seeking post-secondary students to participate in our 2026 agricultural research program. The interns will assist in seeding, field maintenance, data collection, sampling, harvest and reporting on all soil health projects, data preparation, extension events and community outreach, and other duties as assigned. The position involves working on a research farm in North Star and travel throughout the Peace Region.
The position is 16 weeks or more and the start date is May 4th, 2026. Start and end dates are flexible.
NPARA staff will provide training and assistance to ensure that interns receive an unforgettable learning experience. There will be opportunities for continuous learning and development.
Salary is $18-21/hour, based on experience. Standard work week is 37.5 hours. Flexibility for time off; overtime hours can be banked and used as time in lieu.
