The schedule for the 2014 AgCareers.com Ag & Food Roundtable has been announced!

 

AgCareers.com is pleased to be returning to Minneapolis, Minnesota for our 12th Annual North American Ag & Food HR Roundtable. Plan to join usfor the Roundtable August 5 - 7, 2014, hosted by CHS, Inc. You won't want to miss this exceptional opportunity for networking, continuing education and entertainment.

The Ag & Food HR Roundtable is the premier North American event for HR and educational professionals that provides relevant content examining recruitment and retention specifically within the ag and food industry. The combination of HR and educational professionals provides a unique and rewarding networking experience not found anywhere else.

AgCareers.com is excited to announce the line-up of topics selected for the 2014 North American Ag & Food HR Roundtable. The Roundtable Organizing Committee met in December to provide input and help select hot topics for human resource professionals, managers, university/college staff and associations within the agriculture industry. From this brainstorming session, the following topics were outlined:

  • Power and Politics in the Organization: Understanding the Game (Concurrent Session)
  • Reward and Retention - What Really Matters?
  • Beg, Borrow and Share (Concurrent Session)
  • Empowering Employees: Providing the Means to Manage their Own Careers (Concurrent Session)
  • Strategic HR for Multiple Locations (Concurrent Session)

This year's topics will set the stage for what will surely be a successful event. Beyond the traditional educational sessions, the Organizing Committee has planned another year of enjoyable social events to get in plenty of networking, such as the Welcome Reception, Table Topics breakfast, Best Practices Roundtable Discussions breakfast,and a fun networking dinner.

Due to the success of last year's event, we will again offer an add-on workshop for those responsible for compensation and benefits. This special workshop will incorporate main sessions from the Roundtable and supplemental sessions following the close of the Roundtable specific to compensation and benefits high interest issues. Add this track onto your Roundtable registration for a discounted rate. Topics include The Big Debate: Navigating Benefit Plans in a Regulatory Environment; and Incentives vs. Base Pay, Communicating Total Reward Offerings through the Ranks.
