We are looking to hire a talented Data Analyst Manager with expertise in data analysis and soil health. This role will be responsible for managing all soil samples, analyzing the data, and creating Soil Health Reports. This individual must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to use a variety of statistical techniques and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for regenerative agriculture and the ability to concisely analyze and report data to support MyLand's partners.

 

This role will report directly to Matthew Johnson, Director of Ag Science, and includes hands-on job training, the opportunity for cross-training, diversified professional development, and career growth within MyLand.

 

This full-time, hybrid position is in Phoenix, AZ and may include occasional travel to field sites with occasional weekend or extended hours.

 

Responsibilities

  • Technical support to the Grower Relations team through analyzing datasets, soil sampling, generating graphs, and staying current on data interpretation
  • Assist in internal and external field maintenance and data collection
  • Use expertise to develop soil health analysis protocols and generating soil health reports
  • Collect and report weather and climate data to team
  • Handle and process all incoming soil samples from farms and collaborate with all necessary teams (Ag Science, Algae Lab, Operations, Grower Relations)
  • Collaborate with the team on grant proposals, including organizing, writing, and providing data results
  • Maintain current knowledge of carbon credits and soil protocols
  • Perform tasks that meets department set KPIs and performs problem-solving action for issues as they arise
  • Serves at point of contact for projects, execution of projects within projected timeline, tracks and executes tasks aligned for project success

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in agricultural related field required
  • Master's degree in agricultural related field preferred
  • 2 years of data analysis experience
  • 3-5 years of agricultural related experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication
  • Experience with relational database and SQL preferred
  • Proficient in statistical software such as JMP, R, or SaaS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent research, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in data collection, analysis, reporting, visualization, and experimental design
  • Able to work autonomously or in a team
  • Ability to work outside under high heat, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and/or sit at desk for extended periods
  • Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Travel up to 15% of the time
  • Valid driver's license

Pay: $72,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
