Be a part of the legacy: Postdoctoral Research Fellow Program
Our Research Laboratories' Postdoctoral Research Fellow Program aims to be a best-in-industry program for industrial postdoctoral researchers, designed to provide you with an academic focus in a commercial environment. With the resources, reach, and expertise of a large pharmaceutical company, postdoctoral researchers will be positioned to excel in an institution committed to breakthrough innovation in research and discovery.
Our company's Research Laboratories South San Francisco (SSF) Discovery Center, a wholly owned subsidiary of our company, is focused on driving discovery research. Our multi-disciplinary discovery research site offers state-of- the-art resources to explore the most promising science combined with our company's world-class R&D expertise in small molecules and biologics. Located within the heart of the Bay area's biomedical community, research conducted in our new laboratories spans exploratory biology through early clinical development and is an integral part of our company's powerful world-class network of drug and vaccine discovery.
At our company, we are inspired by the belief that a research-driven enterprise dedicated to scientific excellence can create medicines and vaccines that save and improve lives. Every employee is building on our proud legacy of scientific breakthrough. Our ability to impact the lives of patients worldwide depends on the integrity, creativity, humility, and scientific acumen of our team. We are creating a diverse organization that is inspired by invention and founded on a culture of respect and collaboration. At Our Company's Research Labs, you'll have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills through collaboration with talented and dedicated colleagues while advancing your career.
Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPS) enables drug discovery and drug product development through application of pharmaceutical science and drug delivery research from target identification through clinical candidate selection for both small and large molecules. DPS influences molecular design of these clinical candidates through physicochemical property profiling and applies these insights to better understand and mitigate drug product developability risks. Our deliverables also include identification of suitable oral and parenteral preclinical formulations for pharmacology and toxicology studies across a variety of administration routes and modalities (small molecules, peptides, and biologics). Our function closely collaborates with other key functions required for the progression of clinical candidate selection, including Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Safety, Process Research, Protein Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics.
The DPS team in SSF is seeking a highly motivated postdoc with creative passion for working on new pharmaceutical technologies. The ideal candidate should possess scientific knowledge and / or experience related to formulation and/or characterization of biologics (i.e., proteins, nucleic acids, etc.)
