Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Procurement & Inventory Manager, under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, is responsible for sourcing, purchasing and supplier management, as well as overseeing inventory management processes, including inventory accuracy and stock levels.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and coordinate the procurement process for all necessary supplies, equipment, and services required by the organization.
  • Work closely with other departments to accurately forecast demand and ensure that stock levels are aligned with the needs of the business.
  • Maintain inventory management processes, policies and systems to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the speedy delivery of quality goods and services.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery and service requirements. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Manage and perform daily inventory activities including counting and tracking inventory levels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Associate’s / Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain management.  Will consider experience in lieu of.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:   

  • Proven working experience as a Procurement & Inventory Manager, or similar role with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, including buying and negotiating contracts with suppliers.                                   

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:                 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and inventory management software.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
