About the role.

The main purpose of this job is to ensure our plant's animal feed/waste is controlled with the disposal process we have set. (Feed to Trailer) Task List with Daily / Weekly / Monthly Assignment Focus. 

  

Accountabilities:  

  • Dumps waste totes/tubs/bins into our 3rd party contracted trailers. 

  • Forklift / Forklift Rotator Lift Use daily 

  • Ability to identify the correct load limits set in place (no overfill of the trailers) 

  • Identifies and corrects unsanitary practices and conditions. 

  • Strictly adheres to all company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures, using proper lifting techniques, wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, proper walking/stepping, and all other safety procedures related to your duties. 

  • Adheres to all company and plant polices related to GMPs.  

  • Adheres to all company and plant policies, work rules, and procedures.  

  • Regular and consistent attendance is essential for meeting the performance expectations of the position. 

  • Assist other employees with the sanitation/cleaning process to help all be safe and successful, including administering hands-on training when necessary.  

  • Completes non-conformances for cleaning and coaching when needed on proper techniques to ensure food safety. 

  • Safely handle all chemicals using proper tools and equipment, and PPE 

  • Safely handle/move all types of bins, chemical barrels, and utilize the powered lifts as well as manual lifts.  

  • All Documents Filled out and Maintained for Food Safety and Audit Purposes. 

  

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   

  • Previous industrial fork truck operator’s license and hand truck experience.  

  • Maintain department chemical training certification annually 

  • maintain industrial forklift (ROTATOR) operator license

  

Skills:  

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, operating and maintenance instructions.  

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.  

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.   

  • Ability to troubleshoot and safety check his/her industrial lift daily.

Compensation Package: $36.84 - $36.84 USD hourly + bonus eligibility

  

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
