Job Description : 

Driver – Dump Truck

McCain Fertilizer, a Division of McCain Produce Inc, is a leading distributer of crop inputs, including blended fertilizer, crop protection products and other related inputs, with multiple locations in Atlantic Canada and the State of Maine.

We are currently seeking seasonal Dump Truck Drivers for multiple positions at our Grand Falls Plant location.  This position is based out of the Grand Falls area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Assets (not mandatory):

• Bilingual (French and English)
• Class 3 license

Required: 

• Ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, and various machinery
• Flexibility to work possible evenings and/or weekends during busy planting and harvest seasons
• Ability to work well with supervision and other employees
• Able to lift and carry up to 23kg (50lbs)
• Willing and capable to work at heights
• Assist in performing preventive maintenance and repairs of all equipment and buildings
• Willing and capable of physical labor in varying weather conditions as required
• Capable of working in dusty environments
• Team player with excellent attendance
• Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate ‘safety first’ on a continual basis, following all safety requirements.

The wage is $20-24/hr depending on experience
